Los Ayala Life
Everything you need to know

Los Ayala is an authentic Mexican fishing village that remains an undiscovered gem. Only recently emerging as a tropical vacation and retirement destination; Los Ayala is popular for its' beautiful, tranquil kilometer long beach with clear blue-green ocean waters and lush surroundings and affordable accommodations; enticing visitors to return time and time again.

The setting for the town is reminiscent of the “Garden of Eden”. The surrounding tropical rain forest is dense and green; filled with palm trees of every type; lime, mahogany and almond trees; and an abundance of fruit trees including; papaya, mango, and banana. If you are not inclined to pick your own fruit, local farmers deliver truckloads of farm fresh pineapple, mango, papaya and watermelon to the grocers and vendors, daily.

Los Ayala is a bird watchers paradise. Birds common to the area include Mexican parrotlets, Inca doves, chachalacas, woodpeckers, parakeets, yellow winged Caciques, hawks, and a large variety of tropical birds.

A variety of palapa restaurants line the beach, each serving fresh fish and prawns deliciously cooked along side all the traditional favourite Mexican dishes. Locals and tourists enjoy sipping margaritas made with fresh limes and dining barefoot in the sand under the shade of a palapa - spending the entire day at the beach. Beach vendors sell pineapples stuffed with fresh fruit; coconuts, natural juice waters and a variety of tempting baked goods. The beach bustles in the early morning hours with fishermen selling the early morning catch, while amiable pelicans and frigate birds vie for the scraps.

Los Ayala is off the beaten path; and, worlds away from the more heavily touristed beaches.

The lifestyle is relaxed. Come stay a while and experience the true spirit of Mexico as lived daily by the friendly Mexican people!
